Buxton front yard

The Buxton’s came to us the summer of 2009 while the house was still under construction.  We designed a landscape to fit their lifestyle and architecture of the house.   The scope of work included:  Designing, grading, Utilite amended topsoil, irrigation system, Kitchler outdoor accent lighting, sod, hydroseed meadow grasses with wildflowers, colored concrete edging, decorative fine wood mulch 4″ deep over weed barrier fabric,  4 vegetable gardening boxes with amended soil 12″ deep, 8 misc. deciduous trees, 7 misc. evergreen trees, 55 misc. shrubs, 225 misc. perennials and ornamental grasses, 12 flats of ground cover.

We started this project in 2008.  The property over looks Bear Lake and is a vacation cabin and not the primary residence for the Wong family.  Phase 1 consists of designing and construction of the Trout pond, rough grading, grubbing, soil preparation, rock retaining walls, Belgard paver patios, flagstone paths with stone bridges here and there, two water features (one behind the house by the portococher and one to the north east of the pond where water falls down in several areas, outdoor Kichler lighting system and irrigation system, trees, shrubs, perennials, spring bulbs, weed barrier fabric under 4″ deep colored enhanced mulch as a top dressing.

Phase two consists of more plant material trees, shrubs, perennials and ornamental grasses.  We construction a post-tension concrete regulation size tennis court which is also a multi-sports court including lights and all accessories.  We designed and constructed an outdoor room with a kitchen, fire place, bar, and all accessories.  We added on the irrigation system and landscaped around the tennis courts and outdoor room.  We installed a meandering compacted crushed stone .25 mile track loop complete with water fountain.

The Zabo property is on a hill.  This cope of work includes rock retaining walls with access steps, dry river bed with a stone slab bridge for interest, flagstone pathways leading to patios and stairs through the lawn and planter beds, drip irrigation system in the shrub beds as there is much wind, pop up rainbird spray heads in the sod, outdoor Kichler accent lighting including path lights, spot and flood lights all LED.

Snoke’s property was done in phases.  Scope of work includes irrigation system, outdoor lighting system, sod, trees evergreen and deciduous, shrubs, perennials and ornamental grasses, river bed that is dry when it’s not raining, rustic fire pit with landscape rocks for seating, rock retaining walls with cut natural stone steps.

Amazing water features.

Grass Plus Inc. along with the Harris’ created this exciting landscape for their new home.  The landscape included two large rock waterfalls, and a custom water feature river that empties into a large pond.  The pond has a lovely sandy beach as well as fish and a small floating dock.  The fire pit area is a flag stone patio with a close by rock wall that provides seating and an attractive change in the elevation.  The children’s playground area has a ground level trampoline a long with the play structure and playground chips.  Working closely with the owners custom square foot garden boxes were created complete with a garden blend soil and an automatic watering system.  All of the planter areas were finished with bark to accent the variety of flowers, shrubs, and trees.  The result of all these features is an interesting and diverse landscape that has a wonderful mix of grass, planters, and special features for the family to enjoy.
